Role Overview: The Supply Chain Engineer serves as a key technical advisor to the Marine Storage team, which manages assets supporting various plants and business units. The primary goals include enhancing safety, operational efficiency, equipment dependability, and supply chain reliability. This position also addresses daily operational challenges, spearheads both minor and major enhancements, and disseminates knowledge to elevate team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in equipment malfunctions and repair methodologies during root cause analyses, providing guidance on troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and responsible care practices through disciplined operations and maintenance.
- Engage in advanced troubleshooting as needed, mentor others in these skills, and ensure documentation of findings for future reference.
- Maintain technical documentation for all Marine Storage equipment, including inspections, equipment replacements, and significant cleaning activities. Participate in the scheduling and execution of inspections within the designated area of responsibility.
- Share on-call duties with other personnel and assist in coordinating responsibilities during planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience in project or manufacturing environments.
- Experience in managing vendor proposals, contractor bids, and project solution development is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA PSM standards is advantageous.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and experience working collaboratively in a team setting. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience with Olin in a relevant role is preferred.
- Must be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid U.S. Driver's license.
