Job Title: Distribution Technician

Huntsman International LLC is seeking a skilled Distribution Technician to join our team in Freeport, Texas. As a key member of our Performance Products Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and productive loading and shipping of plant site products.

Job Summary:

The Distribution Technician will be responsible for inspecting, loading, and unloading bulk tank wagons and rail cars, as well as unloading, filling, and loading drums. You will maintain current knowledge of all shipping equipment, chemicals, and shipping procedures, and record all inventory changes and perform necessary work and tasks for the blending of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and load/unload bulk tank wagons and rail cars
  • Unload, fill, and load drums
  • Maintain current knowledge of shipping equipment, chemicals, and procedures
  • Record inventory changes and perform blending tasks
  • Monitor safe handling, identification, storage, and removal of hazardous waste streams
  • Complete compliance and operating checklists
  • Participate in pollution prevention and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-12 months of related work experience
  • Qualified through Huntsman Distribution training
  • Qualified through Huntsman Distribution training regarding Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers and fractions
