Job Description:
  • We are seeking a Senior Backend Java Engineer with AWS experience, particularly with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join the IT Product Engineering team, responsible for delivering
  • Event Streaming platforms as a service, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of an in-house event streaming platform, as well as its integration with various applications within the organization.
  • Our highly autonomous team employs Agile development principles and an embedded DevOps model to deliver throughout the entire software life cycle—from development to release, maintenance, and operations.
  • Proficiency in Java with AWS is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement an in-house event streaming message queue platform.
  • Understand the application architecture and collaborate with domain teams to integrate the message queue platform, enabling real-time data streaming and an event-driven architecture.
  • Responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance systems using Core Java.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of the platform.
  • Engage in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Develop and maintain APIs.
  • Ensure the quality of software deliverables and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams and departments to align software solutions with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in developing Core Java and related technologies, including Spring, Hibernate, and other Java frameworks, with a proven history of delivering complex Java-based systems and applications.
  • Extensive experience in messaging solutions, with a comprehensive understanding of the architectures of various messaging middleware solutions (commercial, open source, in-house).
Examples: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Tibco, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing Stream Processing Applications using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or custom event streaming applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience in developing distributed software solutions utilizing cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) within a CI/CD environment.
  • Familiarity with databases and caching mechanisms, including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, and Redis.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and software development processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Talented individuals who can work independently, take ownership of their tasks, and contribute to the success of our team are essential.
  • Proficiency in Python and Java, along with knowledge of Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or other comparable NoSQL databases and search engines.
