Job Summary

The Senior Director of Finance is a key member of the Social Impact team, responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions of the organization. This role requires a strong leader who can provide strategic financial guidance and ensure the company's financial health.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
  • Provide leadership for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Take a hands-on role in key strategic initiatives to achieve corporate financial objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including corporate financial advisors, auditors, and banks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reports, analyses, and projections are prepared to facilitate effective financial management.
  • Collaborate across the organization to increase efficiency in financial processes and strengthen financial management capability.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting.
  • Supervise the Controller and Internal Controls and Financial Compliance Manager, and may supervise additional staff as the company grows.
  • Establish a professional and collaborative work environment for the Finance Division, and coach and mentor team members.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial, accounting, and payroll software.
  • Experience working with USAID and USG contracts in a for-profit environment, and knowledge of private foundations and other bilateral and multilateral donors.
  • Knowledge and experience preparing indirect cost submissions.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and AIDAR.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels in the organization.
