POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of the IT Systems Specialist is crucial in proactively identifying and resolving issues, ensuring a seamless experience for users and stakeholders of OakStar Bank's IT services. This position emphasizes continuous improvement of corporate IT initiatives and processes, aiming to preemptively address potential challenges that could affect operations or customer satisfaction. The specialist will deliver outstanding customer service and persistently pursue solutions until all concerns are fully addressed.

Compliance with all organizational policies and relevant state and federal regulations is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee Microsoft Azure and O365 environments as a primary duty.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to colleagues, contractors, regulatory representatives, vendors, and service providers through various communication methods.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to third-party software applications.
  • Assess, test, and deploy new software solutions for the organization as needed.
  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to effectively resolve technical problems.
  • Set up new computer systems and peripherals, and conduct advanced maintenance as necessary.
  • Maintain expertise in malware detection and prevention strategies.
  • Stay informed about common and specialized data security processes, tools, and systems.
  • Ensure the maintenance of computer equipment and software for secure and efficient operations.
  • Repair computer hardware and office equipment as required.
  • Interpret and apply information from technical manuals.
  • Travel as needed to fulfill organizational requirements.
  • Exhibit respect, integrity, and accountability in all interactions, fostering a trustworthy environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

The following specifications outline the minimum experience typically required for successful performance in this role. Individual qualifications may vary.
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a banking context.
  • Proficient in Active Directory, Windows Server, and SQL administration, management, and maintenance.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with desktop, notebook, laptop, and tablet hardware and operating systems.
  • Competence in using productivity tools within the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Strong understanding of various operational software products utilized within an organization.
  • High proficiency in assembling, disassembling, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing servers, desktop PCs, laptops, peripheral devices, and other related equipment.
  • Knowledge of SIP and Internet VPN routing techniques.
  • Understanding of essential WiFi technologies.
  • Experience with data security methodologies and techniques.
  • Possess a helpful demeanor and a high level of self-confidence.
  • Motivated to find solutions based on the needs of customers and staff.
  • Exhibit friendliness, engagement, organization, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure all services provided meet the satisfaction of the recipients.
  • Valid STATE driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage may be required for job duties.
