POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of the IT Systems Specialist is crucial in proactively identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring a seamless experience for users and stakeholders utilizing OakStar Bank's IT services. This position emphasizes continuous improvement in the efficiency of IT initiatives and processes, anticipating challenges before they impact operations or customer satisfaction. Compliance with all internal policies and applicable banking regulations is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee Microsoft Azure and O365 environments.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to team members, contractors, regulatory representatives, vendors, and service providers through various communication methods.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to third-party software applications.
  • Assess, test, and deploy new software solutions as necessary.
  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to effectively address technical problems.
  • Set up new computer systems and peripherals, performing advanced maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain expertise in malware detection and prevention strategies.
  • Stay informed about data security processes, tools, and systems.
  • Ensure the maintenance of computer equipment and software for secure and efficient operations.
  • Repair hardware and office equipment as required.
  • Interpret and comprehend technical manuals.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill organizational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience or training, preferably in a banking context.
  • Proficient in Active Directory, Windows Server, and SQL administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with desktop, laptop, and tablet hardware and operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Strong understanding of operational software products used in organizations.
  • High proficiency in assembling, disassembling, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various IT equipment.
  • Knowledge of SIP and Internet VPN routing techniques.
  • Understanding of essential WiFi technologies.
  • Experience with data security methodologies and techniques.
  • Possess a helpful demeanor and a high level of self-confidence.
  • Motivated to provide solutions based on customer and staff needs.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ensure services are delivered to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Valid state driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance may be required for travel.
