Position Overview

Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to enhance our healthcare services in the Lake of the Ozarks region. We are a non-profit, federally qualified health center committed to delivering exceptional, affordable healthcare to our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document vital signs, patient histories, and concerns.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, clarify procedures, and assist healthcare providers during assessments and treatments.
  • Conduct laboratory tests as necessary.
  • Administer medications, providing clear instructions on dosages and potential side effects.
  • Perform developmental evaluations for infants and children.
  • Guide and orient new staff and students as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of required documentation.
  • Maintain data for quality control and tracking systems.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Missouri.
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain during the probationary period).
  • Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to address inquiries from patients and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements: This position requires moderate physical effort, including the ability to lift or move weights exceeding 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment: Employees will work in a healthcare setting where adherence to HIPAA and 340B regulations is mandatory. Confidentiality of patient information is crucial.
