We currently have an opening for a Property Management Associate within our residential portfolio.

The Property Management Associate is expected to be proactive, exhibit exceptional sales abilities, and maintain a keen attention to detail. Reporting to the Property Manager, the successful candidate will focus on optimizing property occupancy by attracting qualified prospects, engaging with the local community, coordinating viewings, securing leases, and enhancing tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome potential tenants upon arrival and provide insights into available units and property features.
  • Facilitate lease agreements with both new and existing tenants, ensuring clarity on contract terms and conditions.
  • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Manage rent collection and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reach out to tenants regarding overdue payments or urgent matters.
  • Handle eviction processes when necessary.
  • Conduct marketing and community outreach initiatives to drive interest; follow up on prospective tenant inquiries.
  • Ensure timely responses to all maintenance requests.
  • Organize and coordinate resident events on the property.
  • Provide ongoing support to property staff.
  • Prepare administrative sales reports, including market analyses.
  • Inspect vacant units to confirm they are ready for prospective residents.
  • Build rapport with tenants to ensure they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Adhere to Van Metre's management standards.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Property Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in sales and customer service.
  • Goal-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with residents and clients.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, but not mandatory.

Weekend availability is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $25.00-$26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Annual Bonus Potential: Up to $5,000, distributed quarterly.
  • Additional bonuses for collections and delinquency management.
  • Commissions for lease renewals and new leases.
