Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Relations Representative II to join our team at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As a key member of our patient relations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance information, deductible amounts, and co-pay requirements for various clinic services.
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate area.
  • Document patient information in electronic medical records and other software tools.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer concerns and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain working knowledge of MCW and affiliate computerized scheduling and billing systems.
  • Coordinate multiple appointments efficiently, using a patient-centric scheduling model.
  • Triage complex patient inquiries to more senior staff as needed.
  • Perform related clerical functions, such as data entry, faxing, and filing.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare environment, with emphasis on insurance knowledge and patient contact, is highly desirable.
