About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor instrument counts throughout procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Open Heart experienced CST to complement our current team of 7. We have a busy Open Heart and vascular program and are looking to continue to grow.
