Bus Driver/Custodian

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Bus Driver/Custodian for Greene County Schools. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities.
Responsibilities- Bus Driver Duties:
- Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained, and report any mechanical issues to the proper authorities.
- Provide a safe and respectful environment for students, enforcing all Greene County rules and policies.
- Transport students only to authorized drop-off points, and report any accidents or incidents to the authorities and supervisor.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and knowledge.
- Custodian Duties:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.
- Regulate temperature and air quality in the building, ensuring a comfortable and healthy environment for students and staff.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing air filters and light bulbs, to ensure the smooth operation of school facilities.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the principal and maintenance department.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance custodial skills and knowledge.
