Clinical Substitute Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Substitute Nurse to join our team at the Laredo Independent School District. This role is perfect for an experienced nurse looking for a substitute position with flexibility and autonomy.
Job Summary:The Clinical Substitute Nurse will provide direct healthcare services to students, including administering medications, conducting vision and hearing screenings, and providing basic first aid. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with staff and parents, and adhering to district health policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct healthcare services to students, including medication administration, vision and hearing screenings, and basic first aid
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals
- Adhere to district health policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with school administrators and support staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment
- Degree from an accredited professional nursing education program
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license to practice professional nursing in Texas issued by State Board of Nurse Examiners
- CPR Certification
- One year experience as a registered nurse
- Information technology skills necessary to perform essential job requirements
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with administrators, teachers, and other staff
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
