Job Summary

The Lead Speech and Language Pathologist is a key member of our therapy department, responsible for delivering high-level SLP services to school-aged individuals with autism. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical instructions and the Code of Ethics of the profession, as well as expertise in the effective and ethical treatment of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities

Performs standardized and non-standardized assessments to identify student strengths and needs
Develops and implements measurable goals, objectives, and lesson plans to address IEP goals and objectives
Collects and analyzes data to track student progress and reports findings to the Multi-Disciplinary Team
Formulates treatment programs and maintains Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems as needed
Serves as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team for planning, problem-solving, and progress monitoring of students and IEPs

Requirements

Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited university or college
PA Teacher Certification in Speech or Educational Specialist Certification
Valid PA Speech and Language Pathology Licensure or minimum qualifications for Clinical Fellowship Year eligibility
Successful completion of Vista's crisis intervention training

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience working with individuals with Autism using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills
Effective management of multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
Positive problem-solving skills to analyze issues and create action plans
