Your Impact

As a Vice President of Actuarial Services, you will deliver actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization assistance for our clients and prospects.

Focus Areas:
Personal lines Property (Catastrophe and Non-Catastrophe), Casualty, and Medical Malpractice.

Account Analysis & Support:
Conduct actuarial evaluations to create loss models for client portfolios, estimate reinsurance pricing, and identify optimal reinsurance frameworks based on client risk profiles and underwriting strategies.
Present findings in a clear manner suitable for the audience.
Provide additional value-added services to clients as required.
Market Research and Development:
Contribute to market and line of business studies to establish Gallagher Re as a thought leader in the reinsurance and primary marketplace.
Collaborate closely with other analytical professionals across Gallagher Re, including actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisors, ERM, and capital markets associates.

Problem Solving:
Utilize advanced mathematical and actuarial methodologies and techniques.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other analytical software.
Experienced in R and Python.
Identify necessary data for thorough analysis.
Examine issues comprehensively, not just superficially.
Develop effective and innovative solutions.
Maintain high standards of quality control.
Seek assistance and support when necessary.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
Establish strong working relationships with brokers and clients.
Exhibit strong listening skills.
Demonstrate a positive attitude.
Clearly articulate technical concepts in appropriate detail.

About You

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5-10 years of relevant experience.
ACAS or FCAS designation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python.
Moderate travel may be required, including some overnight trips.
Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside of standard business hours as necessary.

Ability to perform tasks on various customer properties; involves negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
