About the Role

The University of North Carolina Asheville is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Title IX Compliance Specialist to support the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Integrity and Access & Title IX Coordinator in ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, particularly Title IX. This role plays a vital part in fostering a culture of equity and nondiscrimination within the university community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Vice Chancellor to develop and implement effective strategies for programmatic implementation and operation of UNC Asheville's equity and nondiscrimination program.
  • Assist in managing investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and related retaliation, ensuring impartiality and a neutral demeanor.
  • Support training programs and activities aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as higher education administration, law, or social sciences.
  • Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in sexual violence prevention and intervention, preferably in higher education settings.
  • Proven skills in conducting thorough investigations, maintaining confidentiality, and working in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in case management databases, such as Maxient.
  • Prior experience as a Title IX investigator or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cultural intelligence, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with an excellent benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
