Electrical Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at InPwr, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design and construction of projects from pre-construction to turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain cost reports and schedules
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
  • Coordinate with General Superintendent on project manpower requirements
  • Prepare and maintain schedules of values and pay applications
  • Build and implement project schedules
  • Create and maintain change orders and logs
  • Oversee and plan electrical projects with GCs from pre-construction to turnover
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously
  • Approve invoices for vendor payment
  • Respond to issues for ongoing projects in a timely manner
  • Review addendums and changes for building purposes
  • Maintain communications between company and GCs, subcontractors, and owner/developers

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Background in design/build electrical construction preferred
  • Proficient in estimating means and methods and Accubid or similar estimating software
  • Ability to produce and update project schedules
  • Ability to understand and organize electrical estimates
  • Ability to provide project cost projections
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements on electrical projects
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Work Environment:

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
