Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate landscaping machinery, including mowers and trimmers.
  • Irrigate lawns, trees, and plants to promote healthy growth.
  • Collect and dispose of debris while performing general maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain landscaped areas through activities such as mulching, aerating, weeding, and pruning.
  • Ensure the upkeep of sidewalks and parking areas.
  • Conduct snow removal using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment.
  • Follow established landscaping plans and designs.
  • Utilize specialized machinery for various landscaping tasks.
  • Diagnose and address issues with underground irrigation systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding plant health and care.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the cemetery shop and associated facilities.

Qualifications:

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to work beyond a standard 40-hour week during peak times.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to navigate uneven terrain and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various environmental factors, including dust and extreme temperatures.
  • Interaction with heavy machinery and landscaping tools.
  • Handling of potentially hazardous materials such as fertilizers and pesticides.

Employment Conditions:
