Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Distribution Center in Harrisburg, PA. The ideal candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

  1. Engage with customers both in-person and via telephone, efficiently processing orders through our automated systems.
  2. Assist in generating quotes and processing orders, ensuring accuracy under automated controls.
  3. Conduct daily invoice edits and maintain balance.
  4. Review open order reports on a weekly basis.
  5. Follow up on customer claims for credit.
  6. Oversee invoicing for Cash on Delivery (COD) and open-term accounts.
  7. Manage bookkeeping processes for establishing and maintaining open terms and COD accounts, including requisitioning new customer codes.
  8. Support furnish and install programs as needed, processing related invoicing and installer payments.
  9. Handle all incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  10. Field incoming calls regarding product inquiries and bookkeeping or accounting matters.
  11. Perform various administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma is mandatory, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer service, ideally within a manufacturing context. Proficiency in basic computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is essential. Previous clerical or office experience is advantageous.
