The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in construction relating to landscape inspection and reside in the area of Philadelphia, PA.
This is a full-time, On-site position.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Evaluate: Perform inspections on existing conditions, work being performed, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare written documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
- Quality Control: Identify and tag proper foliage to be used by architect.
- Plan Review and Compliance: Review and mark plans and specifications as needed to ensure and track compliance with the work performed.
- Safety and Compliance: Observe work conditions for compliance to applicable safety regulations.
- Project Management: Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion.
- Communication: Communicate with various parties on the progress of the work in a timely manner.
- Additional Duties: Other related duties and tasks as required.
- Experience: Prior experience with construction or architecture in the field of landscaping, including the ability to identify and differentiate quality arbor species and those harmful to general construction and maintenance is required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or in a related field required.
- Skills and Certifications: 3 or more years of experience in construction supervision/inspection, OSHA 10 at minimum, and knowledge of PWD Field Inspector Guide and Green Master Specifications is a plus.
- Additional Requirements: A valid drivers license is required, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
