About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rad/CT Technologist to join our team at Texas Health Resources. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the operation of CT scanners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients to correct anatomical areas of interest
  • Perform complex procedures, including age-related criteria and developmental considerations
  • Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age-related factors
  • Assist radiologists with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
  • Maintain attention to detail and process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, and make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
  • Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS
  • Assess and recognize patient emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • Associate degree preferred
  • OR experience preferred
  • 1 year radiologic technician experience without ARRT-CT required or no experience with ARRT-CT required
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required and
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT designation upon hire required or
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (if 1 year radiology technician exp) 12 months required and
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
