Job Objective
The primary goal is to facilitate student achievement and assist them in realizing their full capabilities by applying the SABIS educational framework and philosophy, alongside the effective implementation of SABIS instructional strategies.
Core Responsibilities:
Delivering lessons in accordance with established lesson plans (may also involve creating such plans based on provided pacing charts as necessary) for the designated subject(s) to effectively utilize the SABIS point system. Evaluating assessments related to the taught subject in line with the schedule and materials provided by the department. Engaging in discussions regarding disciplinary matters and student performance with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) as required. Applying the SABIS Point System to foster a productive learning atmosphere within the classroom. Supervising examinations as required while ensuring a well-organized and properly managed testing environment. Offering assistance to students who are academically struggling through encouragement and guidance to help them enhance their performance and achieve their full potential. Facilitating and/or monitoring preparations for external examinations by reviewing past exams as outlined in the structured revision schedule (when applicable to specific grade levels). Assisting with tasks that may include assessing students, covering for absent educators, organizing student activities for meals and transportation, managing traffic (both vehicles and pedestrians), and other administrative responsibilities as assigned by school leadership. Planning and engaging in activities related to student life events such as art exhibitions, open houses, and physical education, in collaboration with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC). Participating in training sessions as necessary and as requested by school management to deepen understanding of the SABIS system and enhance overall student performance. Carrying out additional related tasks or projects as they arise and as assigned by school management.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline. Proficiency in English. Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. Professional demeanor and ethical standards. Ability to deliver results. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Accountability and ownership of responsibilities. Strong communication abilities.Employment Criteria:
Candidates must fulfill all employment criteria, including but not limited to state and/or federal educational and certification standards, successful completion of background checks, and skills assessments if required for the role.
