Job Title: Clinical Neuropsychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at Akahi Associates, LLC. As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Mental Health.

Job Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services. You will be responsible for conducting neuropsychological assessments of adults and children under the direction of Government staff, as well as providing clinical support to patients and their families throughout the time they are participating in research protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct neuropsychological assessments of adults and children under the direction of Government staff
  • Provide clinical support to patients and their families throughout the time they are participating in research protocols
  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of test results consistent with best practices in the field of neuropsychology
  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments to probands and family members as part of the research protocol
  • Participate in the planning and execution of clinical research
  • Educate research staff regarding the use, strengths, and limitations of psychological testing
  • Provide expert consultation regarding study design and analysis and use of psychological instruments
  • Develop new protocol-specific tests related to protocol(s) under study in consultation with Government staff
Requirements:
  • PhD in Clinical Psychology
  • American Board of Clinical Psychology (ABCP) certification
  • Computer skills to include MS Office Suite
  • Clinical trial management experience
  • Work with special populations (children, adolescents, adult, elderly)
Deliverables:
  • Work products, reports, and documents related to clinical and research neuropsychological testing of medically ill and healthy research participants
  • Summary documents of evaluations carried out for different protocols
  • Work products and documents related to maintaining electronic records and computerized research databases containing participant information and test results
  • Work products and documents related to education of patients, families, and staff and individualized teaching of trainees
