Job Summary:The Clinical Research Coordinator II will provide support to the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program (IDCRP) located at WRNMMC in Bethesda, MD. The primary focus will be on the HIV Natural History Study, a longitudinal epidemiological, observational, open cohort study collecting retrospective and prospective data in the U.S. military active duty and Department of Defense (DoD) health care beneficiary HIV infected population.
Responsibilities:- Screen patients for eligibility in participation of research protocol and interview patients for protocols to collect and analyze data for recruitment purposes.
- Collect, organize, and maintain appropriate files of current data, including weekly/monthly status reports on all patients.
- Act as a liaison between patients and physicians, serving as a resource for patients and resolving queries of data in case report forms.
- Assist with monitoring audits/visits for protocols and travel from assigned workplace to support protocols at other sites as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.
- Knowledge of federal and local regulations and policies pertinent to research involving human subjects.
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals of all levels.
- Experience recruiting, consenting, and enrolling participants.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
