Residential Sales Representative

Job Description:
As a Residential Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the Hawaii territory. You will work closely with the Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, and Marketing teams to develop and execute sales strategies and programs. Your primary focus will be on growing residential sales in the defined marketplace, including being active on jobsites, prospecting, conducting sales calls, identifying opportunities, and providing presentations and hands-on demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive demand and grow sales of all Simpson product lines in the defined marketplace.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with customers, managing supply chain relationships with channel partners, and providing ongoing training sessions, product demos, and technical support.
- Promote Simpson Strong-Tie as an industry partner and potential employer, participating in tradeshows, association meetings, and various committees and/or causes.
- Other duties and responsibilities, including consistent CRM management, scheduling, business planning, submitting expense reports in a timely manner, and regular maintenance of company-owned vehicles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of industry experience and/or training, with a strong working knowledge of project workflow from architect/engineer to contractor.
- Technical skills, including the ability to gain product knowledge and provide support as needed.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and present captivating presentations and incorporate sales skills to step a prospect through a story.
- Ability to balance analysis, wisdom, experience, and perspective when making decisions.
- Self-awareness, adaptability, and flexibility, with the ability to find and maximize opportunities for growth and development.
- Proactivity, with the ability to identify what needs to be done and take action when necessary.
- Ability to address issues in an open, constructive, professional manner.
- Computer/Software/Technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, and other industry-standard software packages.

Travel Requirements:
This job requires 25% outside of territory domestic travel.
