About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Flagler College. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our campus facilities, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including the Maintenance Lead and other assigned personnel.
  • Monitor operations and perform payroll duties, managing the maintenance budget and ensuring compliance with college policies and procedures.
  • Perform high-level administrative duties, including budget adherence, documentation, department accounts, personnel records, in-service training, time sheets, and leave forms.
  • Review expenditures against budget allocation and maintain accounting records for the department.
  • Coordinate and process purchase orders, billings, expenditures, and payments as needed.
  • Manage P-Card expense reports and participate in the approval of new hires, responsible for their training, task assignments, and scheduling.
  • Enforce college personnel policies within the department and oversee frequent campus inspections to detect maintenance deficiencies and needed repairs.
  • Work with contractors to execute projects and enforce Flagler design/construction guidelines.
  • Develop, schedule, and control a preventative maintenance program for mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and infrastructure systems.
  • Initiate and coordinate with the Facilities Leadership all requests for necessary outside contract maintenance.
  • Promote safety awareness and ensure that employees follow safe working procedures and use required safety equipment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience with facility operations, including heating and cooling, electrical, plumbing, painting, general maintenance, and construction.
  • Demonstrable supervisory ability.
  • Ability to comprehend and issue oral and written instructions.
  • Satisfactory work record and attendance.
  • Valid State motor vehicle operator's license.
