The Position:
Lead Estimator

Compensation:
$141,000 - $160,000 based on experience.

Perks:

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Estimator to become a vital part of our distinguished estimating team at our headquarters.

This prominent position offers significant growth potential and requires close collaboration with our senior management team to formulate comprehensive construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design/Build projects.


Our projects include renovations and new constructions of:

  • Water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Pumping stations
  • Storage reservoirs and retention basins
  • Water transmission systems
  • Wastewater conveyance infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:


Generate detailed cost estimates for the civil/site work we undertake, which includes: Structural Concrete, Excavation and Grading, Structural/Selective Demolition, and Site Utilities.

Develop work scopes and solicit pricing from subcontractors for the remaining civil/site and architectural work required for our projects.

Collaborate closely with senior management to evaluate project requirements, assess risks, and identify cost-effective solutions.

Utilize computer-based estimating tools and software to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 software is advantageous.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience in construction cost estimating, preferably in the water and wastewater infrastructure sector.

Strong skills in computer-based estimating are essential.

Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 is preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external partners.
