Position Summary:

Vail Resorts is looking for reliable and diligent individuals to become part of our Custodial Maintenance Team. These roles will support our year-round staff in executing summer and fall maintenance activities in preparation for the winter season. The ideal candidate will have a positive mindset and a readiness to acquire new skills.

Position Specifications:

  • Outlet: Stowe
  • Expected Pay Range: $22.04 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time
  • Skill Level: Entry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct, document, and ensure compliance with daily and periodic inspections to meet all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain resort facilities with a focus on cleanliness, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Perform daily upkeep of associated facilities, tools, and equipment.
  • Carry out daily inspections of facilities and vehicles.
  • Communicate maintenance needs proactively to ensure timely procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Engage with guests and staff while embodying Vail Resorts Core Values.
  • Assist with operational activities as required.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to work first shift and have flexible availability.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable riding the gondola lift.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Experience:

  • Basic education preferred.
  • Previous experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on positive and solution-oriented interactions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and other staff to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Organizational skills: Capable of managing a variety of tasks and prioritizing daily work to enhance productivity.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to learn the proper use of chemicals as instructed.
  • Visual acuity necessary for inspections and sanitation tasks.

The expected pay range is $22.04. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
