Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Systems Specialist to join our team at Midland Independent School District. As a key member of our Technology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technology support to our staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for various hardware and software issues on student and staff devices.
  • Install and maintain approved hardware and software, and provide training on its use.
  • Maintain technology inventory of stationary devices at assigned campuses and district offices.
  • Assist with other Technology department responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of personal computer configuration, particularly the Microsoft Windows OS.
  • Familiarity with local area networks, wiring schemes, operating systems, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, systems staff, and computer technicians.
  • Instructional background preferred.
Working Conditions

This position is located in a normal office environment and requires moderate carrying and lifting. The successful candidate must be able to maintain emotional control under stress and work well with a diverse population.
