Key Responsibilities:

As an Equipment Operator, your duties will include:
  • Safely operating trenching and digging equipment at various job sites
  • Installing and maintaining underground fiber optic and telecommunications cabling
  • Restoring and landscaping disturbed areas
  • Digging pits, trenches, and potholes as per job plans
  • Setting up and cleaning job sites
  • Loading and unloading tools and materials
  • Establishing safety perimeters using signage and barriers
  • Performing other assigned duties
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • Experience with digging and trenching equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and use small tools
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record; Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed
Physical Requirements:

This position requires:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs as needed
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions
  • Climbing in and out of equipment
  • Wearing safety gear including boots, glasses, and hard hats
