POSITION SUMMARY

As a Material Handling Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our clients by performing maintenance and repairs on their equipment either on-site or at our facility. This full-time position is based out of our Bloomington branch and is ideal for individuals with a passion for mechanical work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain various material handling equipment as per service orders.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding necessary repairs and obtain their approval.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Document all repairs and services performed, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the Parts department to secure necessary components for repairs.
  • Uphold a professional image and maintain cleanliness in your work area and service vehicle.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety concerns immediately.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives to promote parts, service, and equipment sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required.
  • Experience in forklift repair is preferred; intermediate maintenance skills are essential.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Must possess personal tools for the job; an annual tool incentive is provided.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience or education.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
