POSITION SUMMARY
As a Material Handling Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our clients by performing maintenance and repairs on their equipment either on-site or at our facility. This full-time position is based out of our Bloomington branch and is ideal for individuals with a passion for mechanical work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain various material handling equipment as per service orders.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding necessary repairs and obtain their approval.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and provide appropriate solutions.
- Document all repairs and services performed, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Collaborate with the Parts department to secure necessary components for repairs.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain cleanliness in your work area and service vehicle.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety concerns immediately.
- Participate in marketing initiatives to promote parts, service, and equipment sales.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required.
- Experience in forklift repair is preferred; intermediate maintenance skills are essential.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with clients.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Must possess personal tools for the job; an annual tool incentive is provided.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience or education.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
