Job Title: Registered Nurse Oncology

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team at Intermountain Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the Oncology department. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Unit-specific certification as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Oncology experience.
Work Environment:

This position is located in the Oncology department at Intermountain Health's San Martin clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
