Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at MountainView Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Oncology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards and best practices.
  • Administer medications as ordered and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients.
  • Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider the complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
  • Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient education and keep patients informed of their treatment plan.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
  • AACN National Certification preferred.
  • Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director.
  • Current BCLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • ONS (Certification) required within 6 months of hire, transfer, and/or currently in position (Oncology only).
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
