Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at MountainView Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care given to Oncology/BMT patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
  • Administer medications as ordered for specific groups of patients and demonstrates knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Initiate, regulate, and otherwise manage IV therapy for a specific group of assigned patients.
  • Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
  • Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicates identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient education and keeps patient informed of treatment plan.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
  • AACN National Certification preferred.
  • Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director.
  • Current BCLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • ONS (Certification) required within 6 months of hire, transfer, and/or currently in position (Oncology only).
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
