Main Function:The Pharmacy Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that pharmacy operations adhere to regulatory standards, maintain high-quality service delivery, and optimize workflow processes. This will involve strategic planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:- Supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and customer service.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and make adjustments to optimize productivity while ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
- Recruit, train, and mentor pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
- Schedule shifts effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels and coverage during peak hours.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to support staff development and goal attainment.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor medication dispensing accuracy, product quality, and customer service standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, such as HIPAA and FDA regulations.
- Oversee inventory procurement, storage, and distribution processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and expiry.
- Utilize inventory management software to track product usage, monitor expiration dates, and streamline reordering processes.
- Foster a customer-centric culture by promoting excellence in service delivery and resolving customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner.
- Implement strategies to enhance patient engagement, medication counseling, and adherence support services.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field; PharmD preferred. Valid pharmacist license.
- Proven experience in pharmacy management or leadership role, preferably in a retail or hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including dispensing procedures, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
