Pharmaceutical Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Pharmacist at Griffin Hospital, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies ordered by physicians for use by inpatients, outpatients, and various hospital departments. You will also be in charge of reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, ensuring that overdoses have not been prescribed and that incompatibilities/drug interactions will not result from combining ingredients. Additionally, you will confer with physicians to adjust drug doses based on renal & hepatic functions, patient age and specific disease states.

* Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medications
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

* B.S. degree in Pharmacy
* State of CT registration/licensure required
