Intravenous Admixture Specialist

Main Function:

As an Intravenous Admixture Technician at Griffin Hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective preparation of intravenous solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to dispense additives for I.V. and irrigating solutions according to standard procedures and under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mix I.V. additive solutions as required using aseptic technique with the laminar airflow hood.
• Type labels, prepare, and file charge slips.
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of sterile products.

Requirements:

• High school education with some college and math course work required.
• Graduate of an approved technician training program preferred.
• One year experience in a hospital pharmacy or with sterile product preparation.
