Crisis Mental Health Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Compass Health. This is a full-time position that will provide crisis intervention services to children, youth, and families in crisis.

About the Job:

  • This role is responsible for providing crisis intervention services to children, youth, and families in crisis.
  • The Specialist will work collaboratively with the Client to develop an individually tailored care plan designed to promote recovery.
  • The Specialist will also provide back-up support to other team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Crisis Intervention Services
  • Assess client risk and develop an individually tailored care plan.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to children, youth, and families in crisis.
  • Collaborate with other providers and natural supports to provide comprehensive services.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Document delivery of services in the medical record.
  • Complete all paperwork to agency standard and within required timelines.
Coordination and Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with other providers and natural supports to provide comprehensive services.
  • Coordinate services with community agencies and work in context of a crisis team as needed.
Education and Experience
  • MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field required.
  • Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC.
  • Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) preferred.
