Job Summary:

  • The Resource Allocation Specialist is tasked with the effective management of manufacturing resources, ensuring optimal process planning and maintenance.
  • Accountable for the management of Bill of Materials (BOM) consumption, creation of Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routings, and processing manufacturing item orders within business systems.
  • When a Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) model is available, the role does not include the creation or upkeep of manufacturing instructions (2D drawings).
  • Possesses a solid understanding of production and processing operations.
  • Operates in alignment with management strategies and departmental processes, utilizing client Business Systems.
  • Must be adept at analyzing and interpreting various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, and departmental procedures necessary for task execution.
  • Responsible for precise BOM management and consumption for manufacturing operations.
  • Creates and maintains accurate work sequence documentation and CAP routings.
  • Handles the creation of manufacturing item orders/requests, including but not limited to NC Programs, Tools/Fixtures, and Gages.
  • Provides essential process planning support to manufacturing operations through production order maintenance and tool maintenance requests.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of relevant dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions (both text-based and 2D format), material operation diagrams, and ply tables as required.
  • Possesses working knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures, with skills in GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
  • Supports producibility assessments as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records and schedules of assigned work.
  • Meets established company standards for cost control, scheduling, and quality to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Provides technical support to procurement and suppliers as directed by management.
  • Exhibits strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Applies extensive knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and is prepared to train, direct, and validate Production Engineering work.
  • Required to participate in training and complete competency-based assessments as mandated by management to stay updated with technological advancements.

Educational Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of college education or two (2) years of experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of a related client apprentice program.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
