Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Scope of the Position:

The Manufacturing Supervisor will set the tone for the shift regarding production, efficiency, safety, and quality. This role will manage a team of approximately 45 employees, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed to meet production demands
  • Establish and maintain a positive team culture on the production floor, fostering open communication and collaboration
  • Manage daily production needs, including providing daily work instructions and monitoring production metrics
  • Support floor personnel in achieving their safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals for each day
  • Direct communication with employees, both written and verbal, to ensure clear expectations and feedback
  • Ability to establish and maintain records, including production data and employee performance metrics
  • Maintain plant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols
  • Ability to operate manual and automated production equipment, as well as material handling equipment such as lift trucks and cranes
  • Coach and set a visible example to ensure growth and development of team members
  • Ability to work with Human Resources in hiring, training, and developing employees
  • Able to stand for periods up to 10 hours and perform physical tasks, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating up to 40+ pounds
  • Good visual skills to monitor processes and ability to hear warning devices
  • General knowledge and awareness of TS16949/ISO14001 standards and their impact on the department and plant
  • Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement programs using team-oriented skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3-5 years manufacturing or leadership experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of plastics injection molding machines and processes
  • Willingness to work any shift, 6 days a week, including overtime directed by the customer
