Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of certified professionals to implement behavior analytic programs in home, community, or school settings.
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to individuals as needed, with the goal of fading out support over time.
- Implement teaching procedures, including Intensive Teaching (ITT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), and error correction procedures.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on individual progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Model behavior analytic teaching strategies for parents and school personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, psychology, social work, etc.) or equivalent experience working with children or adolescents.
- Completion of Registered Behavior Technician training modules and registration with the BACB within 6 months of hire.
- One year of experience with interventions to address maladaptive behaviors.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis and competency in implementing fundamental procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of regulatory and funder requirements.
