Behavior Specialist

About the Role:
The Behavior Specialist will be responsible for developing Behavioral Support Plans (BSP) for individuals with developmental disabilities. This involves assessing the individual, developing a comprehensive plan, and training Direct Support staff and Program Directors on the plan's implementation.
The Behavior Specialist will also provide ongoing consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team to update the plan as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Behavioral Support Plans for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assess individuals and develop comprehensive plans
- Train Direct Support staff and Program Directors on plan implementation
- Provide ongoing consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related human services field, psychology, special education, social work, or counseling
- One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience writing and implementing behavior support plans
- Ability to work in a community setting
