About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Churchill Downs Louisiana Horseracing Co. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment, with a high school diploma or GED. A working knowledge of basic human resources principles and practices is essential. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director, including processing mail, completing employee uniform distribution, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose of callers, and forward them to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Greet and assist all visitors to the Human Resources department.
  • Process Purchase Orders and manage the uniform room, including ordering uniforms as needed.
  • Maintain and update the telephone directory, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
