Job Summary

The Oil Field Well Servicing Technician will be responsible for assisting in the operation of our well service rig, performing services on oil and gas wells, and ensuring the safety of our crew and customers. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.



Key Responsibilities



  • Assist the Rig Supervisor in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well, and setting hydraulic jacks, handling pads/boards, and attaching guy wires to the anchor.

  • Operate rod wrenches, tongs, elevators, and other associated rig tools and equipment during well servicing operations.

  • Assist in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the work floor or vice versa.

  • Maintain tubing, rod tongs, and hand tools on the rig, and dismantle and repair oil field machinery using hand tools and power tools.

  • Clean up spills, keep the pipe deck and main deck areas orderly, and report any safety hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues to the Rig Supervisor.

  • Ensure that work carried out follows company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 75lbs.

  • Position requires long periods of standing and sitting, and the ability to work long hours if necessary.



Requirements



  • High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.

  • Basic oilfield well servicing experience, and a minimum of one (1) year rig floor operation experience.

  • Valid state issued driver license with acceptable motor vehicle records (MVR).

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written in English.

  • Must be able to work a varied rotational schedule and travel as job requires.

  • Work may be performed in all weather conditions.

  • Mobility, including entering confined spaces, enter areas by the use of ladders or other access devices; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl, and walk.

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, or similar activities may be necessary.

  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required.

  • Ability to interact with others in a team environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.

  • Basic problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.

  • Able to clear pre-employment drug/alcohol and job-relevant screens.



Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
