Role Overview:

At Principal Financial Group, we are in search of a highly qualified and driven Risk Management Consultant to enhance our Third-Party Risk initiative. This position is vital in ensuring the effective implementation of our risk management strategies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee risk management programs, processes, and enhancements to foster compliance with risk management standards.
  • Conduct risk evaluations, assessments, and reporting to identify trends and insights pertinent to risk initiatives.
  • Engage and collaborate with essential business and risk stakeholders, leading presentations and training sessions for staff.
  • Maintain close cooperation with the application administration and development teams, advocating for customer needs.
  • Utilize technical expertise to articulate a product differentiation strategy from a technical standpoint.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional COUPA team to plan product releases and monitor progress on updates and issue resolutions.
  • Develop the product vision and roadmap to achieve strategic objectives.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience in risk management, ideally within an enterprise or third-party risk framework.
  • Proficient in COUPA is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with internal business operations and corporate functions is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary ranges reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales roles may participate in a bonus program, while sales positions may qualify for sales incentives and bonuses, potentially leading to total compensation exceeding base salary based on individual performance. Actual compensation will be determined by geographic location, work experience, education, licensure, and skill level at the time of offer.

Time Off:
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is available for salaried employees, allowing for paid time away from work for vacation, personal matters, or short-term illness without accruing a specific bank of time off.
