Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team at The Bergaila Companies. As a key member of our maintenance operations team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities to ensure efficient resource utilization and optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance activities, and develop resource plans to support these activities.
  • Work with planners and schedulers to develop job packs, estimate costs, and plan equipment requirements for routine maintenance work.
  • Apply advanced planning and estimating tools to identify critical and sub-critical paths for major events, and develop resource plans to mitigate risks.
  • Provide input to maintenance work contracting and procurement strategy, and steward to that plan.
  • Resolve scheduling issues, including negative float, out-of-sequence updates, resource overloads, scope changes, and progress validation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in a closely related position, with a strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, and selected scheduling and planning software.
