Responsibilities- Perform regular scheduled large-scale preventative maintenance and corrective repair maintenance activities on large COOP compression fleets and additional rotating equipment, including VRUs, air compressors, and various pumps.
- Support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by completing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies.
- Follow safe operating practices as described in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual and maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage work orders through CMMS and mobile applications, perform pre-work scoping activities, rotating equipment troubleshooting, and other equipment reliability efforts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays on assigned work schedules and overtime as workload demands.
- Associates of Applied Science degree or higher or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in Compression, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or related mechanical technology discipline.
- 2 years of current industrial mechanical experience, with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators.
- Demonstrated commitment to Chevron Way Values.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with reliability efforts for various safety, environmental, and production-related issues.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of major oil and gas production and facility process systems.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and CMMS, with an aptitude for learning new software applications.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a diverse team.
- Must be able to read and interpret manuals and other technical materials.
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
As part of the application process, you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles. We recommend allowing approximately 45 minutes to complete the assessment in one sitting. If you need to exit, your progress will be saved. You will be immediately directed to the testing portal upon submission of your application, at which point you will have 72 hours (about 3 days) to complete the online assessment. Once complete, your assessment score will be valid for 180 days. Should you re-apply for another Job Requisition within this timeframe that includes the Maintenance Assessment, you will be required to complete the application process and then click on the assessment link. This will resubmit your previous results.
