Position Overview

Under the general oversight of the Director of Maintenance & Production, the IT Operations Supervisor is tasked with the setup and upkeep of hardware, software, and peripherals essential for daily technology operations, as well as providing tailored IT support for specific events.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $31 to $36.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Operations Supervisor will:

  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of hardware and software, including workstations, VOIP systems, mobile devices, multimedia displays, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Exhibit strong expertise in desktop support.
  • Ensure that all IT requirements (wired, wireless, event-specific, operational, and box office) are fulfilled for each event.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, coordinating with service vendors as necessary.
  • Provide IT support for all events, including concerts, conferences, and meetings.
  • Assist all on-site personnel with technology-related inquiries.
  • Maintain an organized and clean equipment storage area.
  • Support venue staff with LED display systems, networks, and computer control systems.
  • Collaborate with Wi-Fi system administrators to facilitate integration across multiple SSIDs, VLANs, and various network layers.
  • Promptly report any system failures to the Director or designated personnel.
  • Update and manage inventory of workstation hardware, software, and other equipment.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for equipment.
  • Schedule upgrades and maintenance without disrupting ongoing work.
  • Assist with RF/cable systems and installations.
  • Troubleshoot issues with printers and copiers.
  • Document processes and label equipment as necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Enhance signal and routing systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, and Client Services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and the Office suite.
  • Proficiency in both MacOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware (PC and Mac) and peripherals.
  • Experience in supporting and managing multi-functional imaging devices.
  • Basic understanding of configuring and troubleshooting iOS and Android mobile devices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of telephone and VoIP systems.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends based on the event schedule.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and effective communication with guests and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to follow technical instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for various events.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
