Position Summary
The Foster Care Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children and families. This position operates under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisor or designated representative, engaging with youth, families, foster caregivers, and community stakeholders to provide essential advocacy and support, aiming for successful integration into the community.
Shift Details
Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM; on-call duties required quarterly.
Compensation
$48,500 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and embody the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Deliver case management, transportation, and professional services, ensuring established outcome metrics are met.
- Engage in daily travel to provide community-based services for youth and families, adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation.
- Participate in required training sessions promptly.
- Coordinate and oversee services for youth and families, encompassing mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
- Regularly assess and adjust youth-centered plans to ensure ongoing progress towards established goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned foster caregivers and biological families.
- Support family reunification and stabilization efforts in alignment with the youth's case plan.
- Conduct safety assessments, crisis interventions, and behavioral stabilization services to ensure the safety and well-being of youth.
- Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Actively participate in weekly supervision meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- Two years of direct service experience with youth and families is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of foster caregivers and families.
- Ability to adapt and respond effectively to the needs of youth, caregivers, and partners.
- Maintain professionalism and objectivity in all job functions.
- Demonstrate respect and tolerance for diverse perspectives and actions.
- Effectively engage with individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
- Proficient in using computers, smartphones, tablets, and relevant software applications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Good driving record.
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 for bodily injury liability.
