Job Summary

Blue Origin is looking for an experienced Materials Science Expert to join our space systems development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting material characterization and failure investigations to support the development of our reusable space vehicles.

This role requires a strong understanding of metallurgy and experience working in a materials testing lab. You will work closely with our team to analyze samples and generate results in a laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data that will directly influence failure investigations and inform material selection decisions. You will also be responsible for developing engineering tests to define requirements for undefined material forms and processes.

The estimated salary for this role is between $89,820.00 and $125,748.00 per year.
