At Rec Room, we are on a mission to revolutionize the gaming industry with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions. We are currently seeking an exceptional Data Science Innovation Lead - Personalization Expert to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in machine learning and data science to drive business growth and user engagement. As a Data Science Innovation Lead - Personalization Expert, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-impact machine learning models that deliver valuable content to our users. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across the business to gather detailed requirements, build pipelines, and implement end-to-end solutions at scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-impact machine learning models that deliver valuable content to our users
  • Partner with the Data Infrastructure team on real-time personalization road-map and ranking models
  • Design and run experiments to uncover opportunities for improvement (i.e., A/B tests and model performance)
  • Work closely with Product Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to gather detailed requirements, build pipelines, and implement end-to-end solutions at scale
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and Applied Science in a production setting, ideally working on personalization, recommendations, ranking, personalization, search, and/or content discovery
  • Excellent software engineering skills in multiple languages, including Python and large-scale data processing with Spark
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building and shipping ML Models into production with great results
  • Exceptional communication skills, the ability to explain complex technical concepts to partners across all business functions
  • A strong sense of curiosity with a desire to experiment and iterate to get to a great solution
What We Offer:

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $155,000 - $190,000 per year, depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, we provide a full slate of benefits, including flexible vacation time, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and disability coverage, long-term care insurance, FSA, commuter benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, and a parental leave program.
